Kristi Scott, Wealth Advisor & Operations
Kristi Scott joined Winding Bay Capital at its inception in May 2024, contributing her extensive background in the financial sector. With more than a decade of industry experience, she has transitioned from handling the processing of traditional stocks and bonds to specializing in alternative investments, an area where she has demonstrated exceptional proficiency over the past several years.
Eric Holtz, Founder and CEO
Eric Holtz excels in IRC Section 1031 exchanges and real estate investments through analytical skills and investor dedication. With prior experience at a predecessor firm, he serves on Realta Wealth’s leadership council. He enjoys golf, skiing, and fly fishing, living in Amherst, NY, with his wife Caylen and daughter Teddy.
Dr. James Smith, Senior Vice President
James Smith is a retired orthopedic surgeon with degrees from Georgetown (BS, 1970) and SUNY Buffalo (MD, 1974). Retiring in 2011, he entered finance as an investor in 2018, collaborating with Eric Holtz to co-found Winding Bay Capital. He specializes in financial advising focused on real estate.
